American Spectrum Realty Incorporated operates in the Real estate investment trusts sector. American Spectrum Realty, Inc. (ASR) is a full-service real estate corporation, which owns, manages and operates income-producing properties. Substantially all of the Company's assets are held through an operating partnership (the Operating Partnership), in which the Company, as of December 31, 2009, held an interest of 88.39% (consisting of the sole general partner interest and a limited partnership interest). As of December 31, 2009, through its majority owned subsidiary, the Operating Partnership, the Company owned and operated 30 properties, which consisted of 23 office buildings, five industrial properties, one retail property and a parcel of land. American Spectrum Realty Management, LLC, (ASRM) a wholly owned subsidiary of the Operating Partnership, acquired the property management and asset management contracts held by Evergreen Realty Group, LLC (Evergreen) and its affiliates in January 2010, which represent 80 separate assets.
