Apogee Enterprises, Inc. operates in the Products of purchased glass sector. Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Apogee) is engaged in the designing and development of value-added glass products, services and systems. Apogee operates in two business segments: the Architectural Products and Services (Architectural) segment, which designs, engineers, fabricates, installs, maintains and renovates the walls of glass and windows consisting of the outside skin and entrances of commercial and institutional buildings, and the Large-Scale Optical Technologies (LSO) segment, which manufactures value-added glass and acrylic products primarily for the custom picture framing market. During the fiscal year ended February 26, 2011 (fiscal 2011), its Architectural Products and Services segment accounted for approximately 87% of its net revenue. During fiscal 2011, its Large-Scale Optical Technologies segment accounted for approximately 13% of its net revenue. On November 19, 2010, it acquired 100% of the stock of Glassec Vidros de Seguranca Ltda. (Glassec).
