It offers mobile telecommunications services using the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). Its businesses consist of voice business and value-added business. In March 2011, the Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, China Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. (CMC), acquired from CMCC, ZTE, Eastern Communications Co., Ltd., Beijing Digital China Limited, Ningbo Bird Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd.
