The Company conducts business activities are primarily conducted through its operating subsidiaries (collectively the Operating Companies), which include La Grange Acquisition, L.P., which conducts business under the assumed name of Energy Transfer Company (ETC OLP); ETC Compression, LLC (ETC Compression), a company engaged in natural gas compression services and related equipment sales, and Heritage Operating, L.P. (HOLP). ETP operates in four business segments: intrastate transportation and storage; interstate transportation; midstream, and retail propane and other retail propane related operations. In January 2012, AmeriGas Partners, L.P. acquired propane operations (Heritage) of ETP.
