Genesco Inc operates in the Shoe stores sector. Genesco Inc. (Genesco) is a retailer of branded footwear, apparel and accessories. During the fiscal year ended January 29, 2011 (fiscal 2010), the Company operated five business segments: Journeys Group, Underground Station Group, Lids Sports Group, Johnston & Murphy Group and Licensed Brands. At January 29, 2011, the Company operated 2,309 retail footwear, headwear and sports apparel and accessories stores located throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico, and also including 73 headwear stores in Canada. At January 29, 2011, Journeys Group operated 1,017 stores, including 149 Journeys Kidz and 55 Shi by Journeys; Underground Station Group operated 151 stores; Lids Sports Group operated 985 stores, and Johnston & Murphy Group operated 156 retail shops and factory stores. In June 2011, it acquired Schuh Group Ltd. In Fiscal 2011, the Company completed acquisitions of the assets of Brand Innovators Inc and Anaconda Sports, Inc.
