Idex Corporation operates in the Pumps and pumping equipment sector. IDEX Corporation (IDEX) is an applied solutions business that sells an array of pumps, flow meters and other fluidics systems and components and engineered products to customers in a range of markets worldwide. The Company's business activities are carried out through its wholly owned subsidiaries. IDEX operates four business segments: Fluid & Metering Technologies, Health & Science Technologies, Dispensing Equipment, and Fire & Safety/Diversified Products. Fluid & Metering Technologies segment include Banjo, Energy, Chemical, Food & Pharmaceuticals and Water & Waste Water. Reporting units in the Health & Science Technologies segment include IDEX Health & Science, Semrock, Precision Polymer Engineering, referred to as Seals, Ltd, Gast and Micropump. The Dispensing Equipment segment is a reporting unit. In April 2010, it acquired Seals, Ltd. In June 2011, the Company acquired CVI Melles Griot. In November 2011, the Company opened IDEX Fluid & Metering Pvt. Ltd. facility, in India.
