ITC Holdings Corp. operates in the Electric services sector. ITC Holdings Corp. (ITC Holdings) is engaged in the electric transmission operations of its Regulated Operating Subsidiaries, which include International Transmission Company (ITCTransmission), Michigan Electric Transmission Company (METC), ITC Midwest LLC (ITC Midwest) and ITC Great Plains, LLC (ITC Great Plains). Through its Regulated Operating Subsidiaries, it operates voltage systems in Michigan's Lower Peninsula and portions of Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas, which transmit electricity from generating stations to local distribution facilities connected to its systems. It is also pursuing development projects not within its existing systems. Its Regulated Operating Subsidiaries earn revenues through tariff rates charged for the use of their electric transmission systems by its customers, which include investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, power marketers and alternative energy suppliers.
