Business Description:
Kite Realty Group Trust operates in the Real estate investment trusts sector. Kite Realty Group Trust is a vertically integrated real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership, operation, management, leasing, acquisition, construction, expansion and development and redevelopment of neighborhood and community shopping centers and certain commercial real estate properties in selected markets in the United States. The Company also provides real estate facility management, construction, development and other advisory services to third parties. Kite Realty Group Trust operates through two business segments: real estate operation and development, and construction and advisory services. The Company conducts all of its business through Kite Realty Group, L.P. (the Operating Partnership), of which the Company is the sole general partner. As of December 31, 2009, the Company owned interests in 55 operating properties and seven properties under development or redevelopment. In December 2011, it sold its Martinsville Shops retail property.
