Penn Virginia Resources Partners L.P. operates in the Bituminous coal and lignite--surface sector. Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P. (PVR) is engaged in the management of coal and natural resource properties and the gathering and processing of natural gas in the United States. PVR conducts operations in two business segments: coal and natural resource management and natural gas midstream. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company's coal and natural resource management segment contributed 74%, to operating income, and its natural gas midstream segment contributed 26%, to operating income. During 2010, the Company completed two acquisitions of coal mineral reserves. On March 10, 2011, PVG completed its merger into Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P.
