S.Y. Bancorp, Inc. operates in the State commercial banks sector. S. Y. Bancorp, Inc. (Bancorp) is a bank holding company. Bancorp has two subsidiaries, Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company (the Bank) and S.Y. Bancorp Capital Trust II (the Trust). The Bank is a wholly owned and is a state-chartered bank. The Trust is a statutory trust that is a 100%-owned finance subsidiary of Bancorp. The Bank provides commercial and personal banking services in the Louisville Kentucky, Indianapolis, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan markets through 30 full service banking offices. In addition to traditional commercial and personal banking activities, the Bank has an investment management and trust department offering a range of trust administration, investment management, retirement planning, estate administration and financial planning services. This department operates under the name of Stock Yards Trust Company. The Bank also originates and sells single-family residential mortgages through Stock Yards Mortgage Company.
