Business Description:
United Mobile Homes, Inc. operates in the Real estate investment trusts sector. UMH Properties, Inc. is a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company's primary business is the ownership and operation of manufactured home communities, leasing manufactured home spaces on a month-to-month basis to private manufactured home owners. The Company also leases homes to residents, and through its wholly owned subsidiary, UMH Sales and Finance, Inc. (S&F), sells homes to residents and prospective residents of its communities. The Company owns and operates 28 manufactured home communities containing approximately 6,800 sites. The communities are located in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. On December 14, 2011, it acquired City View, a 59-site manufactured home community situated on approximately 22 acres, located in Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. In January 2012, the Company acquired Countryside Estates.
