Union National has three wholly owned subsidiaries: Union National Community Bank (the Bank), Union National Capital Trust I (UNCT I) and Union National Capital Trust II (UNCT II). Union National's business consists of managing and supervising the Bank, and its principal source of income is dividends paid by the Bank. The Bank had a wholly owned subsidiary, Union National Insurance Agency, Inc (UNIA), which ceased operations on December 31, 2009. UNIA provided insurance-related products to the Bank's customers. The Bank is a national banking association, a member of the Federal Reserve System and is regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The deposits of the Bank are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to the maximum extent permitted by law.
