Metrogas S.A. operates in the Natural gas distribution sector. MetroGAS SA (MetroGAS) is an Argentina-based company primarily engaged in the distribution of natural gas. The Company's service territory covers an area of more than 2,000 square kilometers, which include the Federal Capital, as well as 11 municipalities located in the south of the province of Buenos Aires. The Company's distribution system comprises approximately 15,800 kilometers of pipelines. In addition, though its 95%-owned subsidiary MetroENERGIA SA, the Company offers gas transportation and trading services. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had gas transport contracts with Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA (TGS) and Transportadora de Gas del Norte SA (TGN). The Company's majority shareholder is Gas Argentino SA, with 70% of its interests.
