International Goldfields Ltd operates in the Gold ores sector. International Goldfields Limited, formerly Corvette Resources Limited, is an Australia-based company. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company focused on exploration and development of the Plumridge Project in Western Australia. The Plumridge Gold Project lies in a new gold province, in metamorphic rocks of the Albany- Fraser Orogen on the eastern margin of the Yilgarn Craton. The Plumridge Gold Project consists of 12 granted exploration licenses that cover an area of 2,300 square kilometers. During fiscal 2010, the Company granted exploration permits covering 7,395 square kilometers and exploration license applications covering a further 3,125 square kilometers. During fiscal 2010, it completed a 50,000 meters of air core (AC) drilling and 1,000 meters of diamond drilling. As of June 30, 2010, it held 100% interest in mining tenements and tenement applications in Western Australia, Victoria, and Queensland.
