Business Description:
BWP Trust operates in the Real estate investment trusts sector. BWP Trust (the Trust), formerly Bunnings Warehouse Property Trust, focuses to provide a premium commercial real estate investment product. The Trust's principal activity is property investment. The Trust's investments consist of commercial real estate, such as warehouse retailing properties and in particular, Bunnings Warehouse properties. It invests in geographically diversified properties with long-term leases to substantial tenants, in the bulky goods retail sector. As at 30 June 2011, the Trust owned 70 investment properties, all within Australia. The portfolio consists of 60 Bunnings Warehouses, two Bunnings Warehouse with other showrooms, three Bunnings Warehouse development sites, one Bunnings Distribution Centre, one Bulky goods showroom and three Industrial properties. In May 2011, the Trust acquired a vacant site adjoining the Trust's Bunnings Warehouse in the suburb of Minchinbury. BWP Management Limited is the investment manager of the Trust.
