Business Description:
Abacus Property Group operates in the Nonresidential building operators sector. Abacus Property Group is engaged in investment in commercial, retail and industrial properties; participation in property ventures and developments, and property funds management. The Company operates in three segments: Property, which comprises the investment in and ownership of commercial, retail and industrial properties; Funds Management, which develops, originates and manages off balance sheet funds in addition to discharging the Company's responsible entity obligations, and Property Ventures, which provides secured lending and related property financing solutions, investment in joint venture and associates' development and construction projects, and investment in property securities. As of June 30, 2011, it had total property assets of 56 properties. In November 2011, the Company and Heitman LLC acquired an 18 level commercial office building.
