Australian Oil Company Ltd operates in the Crude petroleum and natural gas sector. Australian Oil Company Limited is an Australia-based company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for oil and gas in Australia and overseas. The Company operates in three segments: Excelaron, which is an associate; PEL 182, which is located in South Australia; EP 435, which is located in Western Australia, and Onshore East Timor. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company continued its evaluation of prospects in Australia, and the permitting phase of Excelaron operations progressed in the United States. During fiscal 2010, 65% of the Excelaron project was farmed out. As of June 30, 2010, it held 34% interest in Excelaron LLC. The Company's subsidiaries include Australian Oil Company No 2 Pty Limited, Australian Oil Company No 3 Pty Limited and Australian Oil Company Investments Pty. In January 2010, the Company deregistered its subsidiary, Huasna Oil LLC. In July 2011, the Company sold its wholly owned subsidiary CALOG LLC to Bombora Energy Pty Ltd.
