Business Description:
Altona Mining Limited operates in the Gold ores sector. Altona Mining Limited (Altona) is engaged in the development, evaluation and exploration of its base metal mining projects in Finland and Australia. The Company's two operating segments: Australia and Finland. The Company's projects include Outokumpu and Roseby. Outokumpu Project is located in Eastern Finland. Roseby Project is located in Queensland, Australia. Roseby is 100% owned by Altona and contains 177 million tons of ore grading 0.6% copper and 0.1 grams per ton gold for some 1,055,000 tons of copper metal and 296,000 ounces of gold. It owns 100% of the Outokumpu Project, which consists of the Luikonlahti mill and two mines. In addition, it owns 95% of the Kuhmo Nickel Project. The Outokumpu project has declared resources of 15.9 million tons of copper dominant polymetallic base metal mineralisation (copper, gold, nickel, zinc, cobalt) (including Kylylahti, Saramaki, Vuonos, Hautalampi and Riihilampi deposits) containing some 156,200 tons of copper and 32,300 tons of nickel.
