It operates on two segments: Lighting Segment and Components Segment. The Lighting Segment covers luminaries, lighting management and lighting solutions business for indoor and outdoor applications, and comprises the brands Zumtobel, Thorn as well as Reiss. The Components Segment develops and markets lighting components and management systems, LED (light-emitting-diodes) modules and systems as well as connection technology under the Tridonic and Ledon brands. As of April 30, 2011 the Company operated 22 plants on four continents and cooperates with sales companies and partners in over 100 countries. Zumtobel AG operates numerous subsidiaries worldwide.
