Vulcabras SA operates in the Rubber and plastics footwear sector. Vulcabras Azaleia SA is a Brazil-based holding company engaged in the manufacturing of footwear. The Company is involved in the manufacturing and marketing of sports and women's footwear. It sells its products under the brand names: Olympikus, Reebok, Azaleia, Dijean and Opanka. In addition, the Company manufactures safety boots under the brand name Botas Vulcabras for hospitals, laboratories, as well as for food, civil construction, mining, metallurgy and chemical industries. The Company operates in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Peru. The Company has 25 factories located in five states of Brazil and one in Argentina. As of December 31, 2010, the Company's direct and indirect subsidiaries included Vulcabras do Nordeste SA, Vulcabras Distribuidora de Artigos Esportivos Ltda and Calzados Azaleia Peru SA. On December 19, 2011, the Company decided to close six operating branches located in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
