Sanepar operates in the Water supply sector. Companhia de Saneamento do Parana - SANEPAR (Sanepar) is a Brazil-based company which provides basic sanitation services. The Company is engaged in the exploration, expansion, distribution, collection and treatment of sanitary services. It is involved in the expansion of networks of water distribution, as well as collection network and treatment of sanitary sewer. In addition, it provides advisory services and technical assistance in their areas. Through concession contracts signed with the Government, it operates in 345 Brazilian municipalities, in addition to 286 smaller towns and serves more than 50, 000 inhabitants. Sanepar operates 199 water treatment plants and 227 sewage treatment plants divided into 22 regional units. The Company's major shareholder is the Government of the Brazilian State of Parana.
