Confab Industrial S/A operates in the Blast furnaces and steel mills sector. Confab Industrial SA (TenarisConfab) is a Brazil-based company engaged in the production, supply and export of welded steel pipes for the energy industry. Its activities include the manufacture of welded steel pipes for petroleum, petrochemical, gas, mining and sanitation as well as industrial equipment for the petroleum, petrochemical, pulp, metallurgy and steel, among others. The Company operates under the brand name TenarisConfab. Its plant is located in Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paulo state, Brazil. The Company also has a division producing heavy industrial equipment for the Brazilian market and for export, mainly in Mercosul and Latin America. For the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company's wholly owned subsidiaries were: Confab Montagens Ltda, Confab Revestimentos Ltda, Confab Trading LLC. The Company also held an indirect stake of 100% in Confab Trading NV, as well as a 50%-stake in Socotherm Brasil SA. Its controlling shareholder is Siderca SAIC, a part of Tenaris Group.
