Business Description:
Canfor Pulp Products Inc operates in the Pulp mills sector. Canfor Pulp Products Inc. (CPPI), formerly Canfor Pulp Income Fund, was created on conversion of Canfor Pulp Income Fund, to hold an ownership interest in Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership (CPLP). As of December 31, 2010, CPPI held a 49.8% interest in the CPLP with Canadian Forest Products Ltd. holding the remaining 50.2% interest. The business consists of two northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp mills and one NBSK pulp and paper mill located in Prince George, British Columbia and a marketing group based in Vancouver, British Columbia (the Pulp Business). CPLP is a producer of market NBSK pulp and is the producer of fully bleached, kraft paper. CPLP is a producer of market NBSK pulp and is the producer of fully bleached, kraft paper. CPLP is a supplier of pulp and paper products with operations based in British Columbia. In October 2010, Canfor Corporation sold its 50% ownership of Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Limited Partnership (HSLP).
