Taseko Mines Limited operates in the Copper ores sector. Taseko Mines Limited (Taseko) is a mining and mine development company. The Company has one operating mine, two advanced-stage projects and one exploration property, all located in British Columbia, Canada. These are the Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine, the Prosperity gold-copper project, the Harmony gold project and the Aley Niobium project. On March 31, 2010, the Gibraltar mine became a joint venture with Cariboo Copper Corp. (Cariboo). As of December 31, 2010, Taseko and Cariboo held 75% and 25% interests, respectively, in the mine. In May 2010, the Company entered into a gold stream transaction with Franco-Nevada Corporation (Franco-Nevada), under which Franco-Nevada will purchase gold equal to 22% of the life of mine gold produced at the project.
