Student Transportation Incorporation operates in the School buses sector. Student Transportation Inc. (STI), formerly Student Transportation of America Ltd, is a provider of school bus transportation services. STI operates in two segments: school bus transportation and an oil and gas portfolio. The transportation segment provides school bus and management services to public and private schools in North America. The Company's school transportation services include managed services contracts. The oil and gas segment consists of the Company's investments in oil and gas interests in the United States. The interests in oil and gas properties are held through Canadex Resources Limited wholly owned subsidiary, Canadex Resources Inc. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), it acquired Jordan Transportation Inc., Wilkerson Transportation Company, Inc., Mid-City Transit Corp. and Leuschen Bros. Limited. In December 2010, it acquired Kevah Konner, Inc. In January 2011, the Company completed the acquisition of Ridge Road Express, Inc.
