AES Gener S.A. operates in the Electric services sector. AES Gener SA is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in electric power generation. The Company's subsidiaries and affiliate are also involved in the supply to the national grid (SIC): Sociedad Electrica Santiago SA, operates a combined-cycle gas turbine; Empresa Electrica Guacolda SA, controls one coal-powered station and Energia Verde SA, serves the network with two cogeneration plants and a gas turbine. Through Norgener SA and TermoAndes SA, the Company operates a thermal power station in Tocopilla and a natural gas generation plant in Salta, Argentina, which are connected to the Norte Grande grid (SING). In addition, through its subsidiary AES Chivor SCA ESP, the Company has activities established in Colombia. The Company's majority shareholder is Inversiones Cachagua Ltda with 70.6% interest.
