E Cl SA operates in the Electric services sector. E.CL SA (formerly Empresa Electrica Del Norte Grande SA or Edelnor SA) is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in the energy sector. The Company's activities comprise the generation, transportation, distribution and supply of electric energy, as well as the distribution and marketing of gas and the purchase, sale and transportation of liquid, solid and gaseous fuels. It also provides storage and cargo services of bulk liquids and solids. The Company's products and services are principally oriented towards the mining companies and other industries operating in the north of Chile, such as Minera Zaldivar, Minera Spence, Minera Esperanza and Xstrata Cooper, among others. Its facilities include steam-electric power plants in Tocopilla and Mejillones, diesel power plants in Arica, Iquique and in the area of Barilles, hydroelectric power plant in Chapiquina, and the Port of Tocopilla. The Company's majority shareholder is Suez Energy Andino SA, with 52.4% of its interest.
