The Company operates three divisions: Industrial Battery Group (IBG), Specialty Battery Group (SBG) and Johnso Controls-Saft (JCS). The IBG division manufactures rechargeable nickel and lithium-based battery solutions for such applications as high-speed trains, urban transit networks, subways and trams, storage for renewable energy. The SBG division specializes in the design and manufacture of primary lithium and rechargeable batteries for the electronics, defense and space industries. The JCS division is specialized in the development, production and selling of advanced technology batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. Saft Groupe SA is present in 18 countries worldwide with 15 manufacturing sites. The Company operates various subsidiaries, including Saft Australia Pty Ltd, Saft Batteries Pty Ltd, Saft UK Ltd, Saft SA, Alcad AB and Saft Finance Sarl, among others.
