Biotest AG operates in the Pharmaceutical preparations sector. Biotest AG is a Germany-based holding company specializing in the hematology and immunology products. It diversifies its activities into two business segments: Plasma Proteins and Biotherapeutics. The Plasma Proteins business segment is engaged in the manufacturing of preparations derived from human blood plasma used as immunotherapeutic agents and consists of product groups including immunoglobulins, coagulation factors, and protein solutions, as well as of services, including sales therapy international and patient information. The Biotherapeutics business segment develops biotechnologival drugs on the basis of genetically-produced recombinant monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and consists of three mAbs products in different phases of pre-clinical and clinical developments: BT - 061, a humanized, therapeutic mAbs; BT -062, a chimerized, toxin-coupled therapeutic mAbs, and BT - 063, a humanized, therapeutic mAbs.
