Fresenius SE & Co KGaA is a Germany-based holding company of the Fresenius Group, operating in the healthcare sector, which offers products and services for dialysis, hospitals and outpatient medical care. The Group operates following business segments: Fresenius Medical Care, Fresenius Kabi, Fresenius Helios, Fresenius Vamed and Corporate/Other, which mainly comprises the holding functions of the Company and Fresenius Netcare GmbH. The Fresenius Medical Care segment provides dialysis care and dialysis products for patients with chronic kidney failure. The Fresenius Kabi segment is engaged in provision of generic drugs (IV drugs), infusion therapies, clinical nutrition, and related medical services. The Fresenius Helios segment is a hospital operator and operates 63 clinics, 43 acute care hospitals, 28 medical care centers and four nursing homes. The Fresenius Vamed segment is engaged in international projects and services for hospitals and other health care facilities.
