Leoni AG is a Germany-based manufacturer and supplier of wires, optical fibers, cables and cable systems, as well as related development services for a variety of applications. The Company operates through two divisions: Wire & Cable Solutions and Wiring Systems. The Wire & Cable Solutions division develops, produces and assembles wires and strands, optical fibers, standard and special cables, hybrid and optical cables and complete cable systems for a variety of industrial applications. The Wiring Systems Division offers cable harnesses, complete wiring systems and related components for the automotive industry. The Company is also present in the sectors of Industry & Healthcare, Communication & Infrastructure, Electrical Appliances, as well as Conductors & Copper Solutions. As of December 31, 2009, the Company operated 85, from which 20 were headquartered in Germany and 65 were headquartered in Europe outside Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, among others.
