Business Description:
Energiekontor AG operates in the Electric services sector. Energiekontor AG is a Germany-based project developer in the wind power sector. The Company divides its business activities into the segments Development and Sales of Onshore Wind Parks, Development and Sales of Offshore Wind Parks, Energy Production as well as Miscellaneous. It is engaged in acquisition of locations for wind energy installations and projects in any stage of planning. After acquisition, the Company commissions wind speed and frequency studies, and negotiates with authorities and power utilities. Energiekontor AG's own engineers and technicians design and supervise the construction of new wind farms, and once operational, the Company manages the facilities. As of December 31, 2010, the Company's wind power plants constructed and sold to third parties had a total capacity of approximately 415 megawatts (MW). The Company holds in its own portfolio wind parks with capacity of approximately 100 MW.
