Through its subsidiaries, the Company is engaged in the property development and investment, hospitality and leisure activities, manufacturing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes, securities trading and investment holding. It has five segments: Property Investment, Property Development and Trading, Industrial Operations, Leisure, and Securities Trading. Property development and investment in Shanghai is its core business. Tomson Riviera is its key project, situated along Huangpu River in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone of Pudong. For hospitality and leisure industry, it operates Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club, in Pudong, Shanghai and also holds a 50% interest in Hotel Inter-Continental Pudong Shanghai. For industrial operations, it held a 58% interest in an operation of manufacturing PVC pipes and fittings in Shanghai as of December 31, 2010.
