Guoco Group Limited operates in the Security brokers and dealers sector. Guoco Group Limited is an investment holding and investment management company. The Company has six segments: Principal investment segment covers equity and direct investments, as well as treasury operations; Property development and investment segment is engaged in development of residential and commercial properties and holding properties for rental income in Singapore, China, Malaysia and Vietnam; Hospitality and leisure business segment owns, leases or manages hotels and operates an integrated gaming; Securities, commodities and brokerage segment provides stock and commodities broking and corporate advisory services principally in Hong Kong; Oil and gas segment receives royalty income from the entitlement of Bass Strait oil trust in Australia, and Financial services segment covers commercial and consumer banking, Islamic banking, and investment banking. On May 6, 2011, the Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary acquired 11.6% of The Rank Group Plc.
