The Company operates in two business segments: investment and trading. Its investment segment invests in, manages and supports its subsidiaries, such as STX Pan Ocean Co., Ltd., STX OFFSHORE & SHIPBUILDING CO.,LTD., STX Engine Co,.Ltd and STX Energy Co., Ltd. Its trading segment imports and exports oil products, bituminous coals, crops, ship building materials, plant facilities, steel products and others to its subsidiaries. It was also engaged in ship maintenance business, which offers cargo management, marine maintenance and marine technical services. The Company completed the spin-off of its ship maintenance business into a newly established wholly owned subsidiary, effective April 1, 2011.
