Melewar Industrial Group Berhad operates in the Blast furnaces and steel mills sector. Melewar Industrial Group Berhard is engaged in the trading of steel pipes and tubes, property investment and investment holdings. The Company operates in four segments: steel tube manufacturing segment, cold rolling segment, power generation segment and investment holding segment. The steel tube manufacturing segment is in the business of manufacturing and trading of steel pipes and tubes, and provision of engineering services. The cold rolling segment is in the business of manufacturing and trading of cold rolled steel sheets in coils. On December 29, 2010, the power generation segment commenced operations and it is in the business of power generation and steam sales. Its products include black and carbon steel pipe, square and rectangular hollow section, gas and water pipe, galvanized steel conduit, light gauge steel plain and lipped channel, and hot rolled steel plain and sheet cold rolled steel sheet. On June 24, 2011, it disposed Melewar Steel Ventures Ltd.
