Engel East Europe NV operates in the Apartment building operators sector. Engel East Europe NV is a Netherlands-based real-estate development company. The Company owns subsidiary companies and has jointly controlled entities mainly in Central and Eastern Europe, which purchase, develop, hold and sell real estate assets. The Company has two main business segments: the residential segment, which includes purchasing, developing and selling real estate assets, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe, and the commercial segment, which includes the activities related to investment property in Serbia, Poland and Hungary. The Company operates its segments in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Canada, Romania, Israel and The Netherlands. As of December 31, 2009, the Company and Heitman Financial UK LLC (the Heitman Fund), each held 50% interest of Arces International B.V. As of December 31, 2009, the Company and an investment fund HEPP III Luxembourg Master S.a.r.l (HEPP III), each held 50% interest of ENMAN B.V.
