Compania Minera Atacocha S.A. operates in the Lead and zinc ores sector. Compania Minera Atacocha SAA is a Peru-based mining company primarily engaged in the extraction, concentration, treatment and commercialization of lead, zinc and copper. It operates a treatment plant and a mining camp, which are located in the districts of San Francisco de Asis de Yurusyacan and Yanacancha, province of Pasco. In addition, the Company is active in the electric power generation and it owns two hydroelectric power plants: Marcopampa and Chaprin. As of December 31, 2010, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Finaminer SA, El Quinual SA and Minera Cascaminas SAC. The Company's majority shareholder is Votorantim Andina Peru SAC, which through Compania Minera Milpo SAA holds 69.17% stake in the Company.
