Oriental Petroleum & Minerals Corporation operates in the Crude petroleum and natural gas sector. Oriental Petroleum and Minerals Corporation (OPMC) is engaged in exploration, development and production of petroleum and mineral resources in the Philippines. The Company, together with other exploration companies, has entered into a service contract (designated as SC14) with the Philippine Government, through the Department of Energy (DOE), for the exploration, development and exploitation of certain contract areas situated in offshore Palawan. The Company's petroleum revenues and production and related expenses are derived from SC14. SC 14 is composed of four blocks, Block A (Nido), Block B (Matinloc), Block C (Galoc and West Linapacan) and Block D. As of December 31, 2010, Block A, B and C were in commercial operation while Block D remained suspended. As of the same date, the Company had three wholly owned subsidiaries.
