Horizonte Minerals PLC operates in the Gold ores sector. Horizonte Minerals Plc is engaged in the exploration and development of precious and base metals in Brazil and Peru. The Company operates in three geographical areas: UK, Brazil, and Peru. It is focused on nickel and gold exploration and development in Brazil with the support of two mining companies, Teck Resources Limited (Teck Resources) and AngloGold Ashanti (AngloGold). The Araguaia Nickel Project area is consists of 11 exploration licenses, four held by Lontra Empreendimentose Participacoes Ltda (Lontra) and seven held by Araguaia Niquel Mineracao Ltda. The Falcao project is located in Brazil. The El Aguila Silver-Lead-Zinc Project is located in central Peru and consists of two mining claims. During 2010, it acquired Lontra and held 100% interest in the Lontra project. In February 2012, the Company purchased Vila Oito and Floresta nickel laterite projects.
