McBride plc operates in the Soap and other detergents sector. McBride plc is engaged in the production, distribution and sale of private label household and personal care products to retailers in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. The Company has three principal operating divisions: United Kingdom, Western Continental Europe and Central and Eastern Europe. The United Kingdom business creates, develops and produces household and personal care products for its private label customers. The Western Continental Europe business creates, develops and produces Household and Personal Care products for its private label customers in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. The Central and Eastern Europe business creates, develops and produces household and personal care products for major retailers. On September 1, 2010, the Company acquired 70% of the share capital of Dermacol a.s.. On June 9, 2010, the Company completed the acquisition of 85% of Fortlab Holdings Sdn Bhd (FHSB).
