Zotefoams plc operates in the Plastics materials & basic shapes sector. Zotefoams plc is engaged in the manufacture and sale of cross-linked block foams. The Company manufactures and sells foams for specialist markets worldwide. It operates in two segments: polyolefins and high-performance polymers (HPP). Polyolefins foams are made from olefinic homopolymer and copolymer resin. The most common resin used is polyethylene. HPP foams exhibit high-performance on certain key properties, such as improved chemical, flammability or temperature performance, due to the resins on which they are based. Turnover in the segment is mainly derived from its ZOTEK F foams made from PVDF fluoropolymer. Other polymers either commercially launched or being assessed in development include polyamide (nylon) and microZOTE. The Company's subsidiaries include Zotefoams International Limited and Zotefoams Inc. In March 2011, the Company purchased the outstanding 70% interest in MuCell Extrusion LLC.
