Kingfisher PLC operates in the Lumber and other building materials sector. Kingfisher plc is a home improvement retailer. The Company, together with its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates, supplies home improvement products and services through a network of retail stores and other channels, located mainly in the United Kingdom, continental Europe and China. As of January 29, 2011, the Company operated over 860 stores in eight countries in Europe and Asia. Its main retail brands are B&Q, Castorama, Brico Depot and Screwfix. Kingfi sher also has a 50% joint venture business in Turkey with Koc Group, and a 21% interest in, and strategic alliance with, Hornbach, Germany's DIY retailer. The Company's geographic segments are France, UK & Ireland and Other International. Other International includes Poland, China, Spain, Russia, Turkey joint venture and Hornbach in Germany. Kingfisher's portfolio of own brands consists of Colours, Geom, Blyss, Verve, Blooma and Diall.
