Business Description:
Angel Mining Plc operates in the Gold ores sector. Angel Mining plc (Angel), formerly Angus & Ross plc, is engaged in the exploitation of minerals, particularly gold, zinc and lead in Greenland. The Company has segments include Black Angel zinc/lead mine and Others. The Company operates in the Nalunaq gold mine and the Black Angel zinc/lead mine in Greenland. The Black Angel mine is on the west coast of Greenland. During fiscal year ended February 28, 2010 (fiscal 2010), Angel obtained a license to mine Black Angel. The mine, which is approximately five kilometers long, is located inside Black Angel mountain. On June 30, 2009, the Nalunaq gold mine assets were acquired by the Company. During fiscal 2010, Angel sold 49% of Greenland Resources Ltd (GRL) to RAM Minerals Ltd (RAM). During the fiscal 2010, Angel disposed of Brazil segment. The Company's subsidiaries include Black Angel Mining Ltd, Black Angel Mining A/S and Angel Mining (Gold) A/S.
