Lookers plc operates in the New and used car dealers sector. Lookers plc is a motor retail company. It is a multi-franchise main dealer group with franchises for many car manufacturers. As of December 31, 2009, it operated 122 retail outlets across 32 franchises operating from 73 locations. And was organized into two main business segments: motor division and parts distribution. The franchise profile for the Company includes Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Saab, Seat, Smart, Toyota, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Volvo and BMW and Yamaha Motorcycles. In October 2010, Vertu Motors Plc acquired Renault and Nissan business in Altrincham and a Ford and Renault business in Macclesfield through the purchase of the trade and certain assets from the Company.
