Business Description:
Amtech Systems Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to supply horizontal diffusion furnace systems used for solar (photovoltaic) cell and semiconductor manufacturing. It operates in two business segments: solar and semiconductor equipment, and polishing supplies. Solar and semiconductor equipment segment supplies thermal processing systems, including related automation, parts and services, to the solar/photovoltaic, semiconductor, silicon wafer and MEMS industries. Polishing supplies segment supplies wafer carriers to manufacturers of silicon wafers. The polishing segment also manufacturers polishing templates, steel carriers and double-sided polishing and lapping machines to fabricators of optics, quartz, ceramics and metal parts, and to manufacturers of medical equipment components. Its customers are primarily manufacturers of solar cells and integrated circuits.
