The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, Arkema SA had sales of $8.25 billion. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 5.4% decline in Industrial Specialties, from $2.70 billion to $2.56 billion. There were also decreases in sales in Coating Solutions (down 4.2% to $1.95 billion) .
