Business Description:
Community Financial Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to attract deposits from the general public and originates real estate loans and other types of investments. The lending activities include first mortgage conventional loans secured by residential properties, commercial and multi-family real estate with an emphasis on multi-family housing and construction loans secured by commercial and multi-family real estate and one-to four-family residential properties, commercial business loans and consumer loans. The Group offers regular passbook accounts, checking accounts, various money market accounts, fixed-rate long-term certificates with varying maturities, $100,000 or more jumbo certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts. The Group conducts its business through its headquarters and 10 branch offices located in Staunton (2), Waynesboro, Stuart Drafts, Raphine, Verona, Lexington, Harrisonburg, Buena Vista and Virginia Beach (2), Virginia.
