Digi International Inc. operates in the communications technology industry. The Company's products are divided into two categories: embedded and non-embedded. An embedded product is incorporated by a product developer into an electronic device (utilities meter, environmental sensors, retail scanner, and medical instruments). In June 2009, the Company acquired MobiApps Holdings Private Limited (MobiApps), a developer of machine-to-machine (M2M) communications technology focusing on satellite, cellular and hybrid satellite/cellular solutions.
