The sales level in 2015 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2010, Mattel had sales of $5.86 billion. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 15.0% decline in International, from $3.06 billion to $2.60 billion. There were also decreases in sales in American Girl Brands (down 7.6% to $596.22 million) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of North America (up 2.4% to $3.08 billion) .
